no more Disney princesses
The Disney princesses are not role models. We are going to avoid them as much as possible. It will be hard bc AL LOVES them. Here are the reasons:
Conversation 1
PL: AL, you have to listen to daddy.
AL: Ariel (Little Mermaid) didn't listen to daddy.
Conversation 2
AL: Mommy, Mommy, can you do this?
JL: AL, mommy can't help you right, now. Mommy's helping GL.
AL: mommy, mommy,
JL: not right now...
AL: I'm gonna rip your dress! (she said it with a smile but still-from Cinderella...)
JL: EXCUSE ME?

Al: Mommy, can you fix my dress (her blanket)? I have to get married.
JL: What?
Conversation 1

LOL!!! sorry to laugh at your expense, but this is too funny. i read it to C, and we both can't stop laughing. :) well, i'll be sure to keep the princesses from N. ;)
Too funny!! I read this to HK too and we were both cracking up. Kids says the darndest things! Scary though how much they absorb...
wow. i'm going to have to limit those princesses, too. i still like Belle, though, from Beauty and the Beast. she's my fave.
oh my! i'm glad you posted this! i don't really like princessy things myself, but i understand these movies are really fun for kids. however, i'll be darned if ESK starts using Ariel as a reason to disobey her daddy!! how old is AL again? she's a precocious little one.
Yes!!! I am a big advocate of boycotting those princess movies... Sophia has never seen one yet...and I am going to try to keep them from her...
